Addicted to sheep
Apologies for iPhone image tonight, but I must tell you about the film Addicted to Sheep. It is an absolute must see. The cinema in Hexham was packed tonight, probably because one of the supporting cast is a shearer who lives in Wall village (and is the son of one of Mum's close friends).
The film follows the life of a family of sheep farmers on the Raby estate near Barnard Castle. A single film maker followed them over about 18 months and this film is the result. It is funny, moving, thought provoking and the camera work and scenery are tremendous. The children steal the show of course.
I started the day in Hexham for a hair cut (see extra image). Then a bit of shopping. Then attempting to clear up after the window fitters. There are loads of bits of off cut plastic and wood scattered all around the outside of the house. We have a gravel drive, so sweeping up is not an option; it's a forensic hand pick job.
Gave up!
Do see the film You MUST see this film. Addicted to sheep
