End of the Cricket Season

Another gloomy day. Basil and I didn't get out for our walk until the evening, when we were surprised by sunlight and a beautiful golden glow on Nanpantan Sports Ground, where Len and George go to play cricket.

The ground has already been marked out for football pitches and the posts are either in place on the ground or have already been erected.

It lifted the spirits to see the sun at last. Basil raced round the ground like a rocket. Hope he sleeps well tonight.
