Flower Friday 4 Escallonia

Another rather dreary day weather wise with little sign of the sun: I hung it out as long as possible before going into the garden to find something to blip but to no avail: the light remained  resolutely poor.
I hadn't realised how 'bristly' these little escallonia flowers are until I looked at the images on my PC: not the clearest of shots but I'm calling it 'dreamy' rather than poorly focused!

In other news: desperately trying to declutter to welcome visiting family from Australia who start to arrive next week: if you're reading this you won't have to sleep in the shed - I promise!
