fell view

Lovely weather for an afternoon walk up through Skelghyll Woods and on to Wansfell. About 4 miles (felt like more) but there was a lot of height gained and lost. Early views on the ascent were to Fairfield and the Langdale Pikes as in this blip, then Windermere and Morecambe Bay came into view. Couldn’t spot Blackpool Tower today!

Think I helped a walker who was consulting his guide book by a stile ........ he did ask for advice.  I’m convinced that a path he was looking for doesn’t exist so directed him on the one I’d come up. Hope I did the right thing.
