Wonderful wonderful day today!!!

Katie woke at 5. She was beside herself excited that today was the first day of the new term for ballet. I got her bathed, fed, dressed and hair washed. She wanted to join my piano practise then did her own- including teaching herself things she had seen me doing and being very proud of herself! (First thumb turns for Katie! Yeah!)

She had a great time at dance- she stayed to do the conditioning with the next class before she let me drag her away.

This afternoon was the birthday party for my littlest godbaby, Maisy. We had a very wonderful time with lots of our close friends. And lots of cuddles from Livie and maisy, my goddaughters. After seeing them, we went to visit one of my other godchildren and her family in their beautiful new house!! I haven't seen little Fern in a while but she was sooo scrummy and Katie had a great time with her big brothers.

A day full of reminders of how blessed I am- for a gorgeous, beautiful girl with musicality in very fibre of her being, for our wonderful dance family, and for the very special friends who have given me an amazing part in their children's lives and who have made Katie a special part of their lives. Happy happy girls.
