Best Dessert Ever

It's almost midnight, so I can't wax too rhapsodic about this dessert that Phil and I shared with two dear friends after dinner tonight at Wolf's Ridge Brewing this evening, but suffice it to say that dinner tonight was preceded by dinner there last night, and will be followed by brunch there on Sunday morning. The food and the beer (and cocktails, a new adventure for me ) are simply outstanding, the staff are terrific, and it takes under ten minutes for us to walk there from our hotel.

For the insatiably curious, this gorgeous sweet was called "Chocolate cake" and consisted of the two rectangles of dense flourless chocolate cake, a triangle of hazelnut brittle, black current sorbet on a bed of crushed pistachios, droplets of concentrated plum, cubes of passion fruit jelly, and delicate leaves of red-leaved sorrel. Ambrosial!
