BIG DAY.....

.... finally got to catch from our BBQ for the Prostate Cancer Support Group. We planned it long ago, to be on the Fathers Day weekend and were successful in being on the day prior, a very busy day at the Bunnings Hardware store. 

Well was it a "thumper"... sure was!!

Worked out at the end, that we prepared and sold 2 sausage rolls/sandwiches every minute from 8am to 4pm - what a day. Had also a couple of donation tins and again proved people are just so supportive and generous. The "last minute idea" of a raffle proved another winner, so all in all we have raised some much needed funds to go toward furthering our cause of Prostate Cancer awareness and support in our area.

The pic shows the morning crew enjoying the fun.... the late morning and afternoon crews had us nose to the grindstone, BUT we still had a laugh and in the end although very weary a superb day, and well worth the effort.
