Pure Escapisim

What an evening!

An opportunity to indulge myself in 2 hobbies, live music and photography. A trip into Oxford to see The Polyphonic Spree, what could be described as somewhat eclectic. They make a great show, all 14 (numbers reduced this time, last time I saw them there was 25 on stage, and they had a harp too!) of them.

They were touring this time celebrating 15 years of their début album (when I saw them the first time). The album played through, and then into songs from the following years, right up to now.

I came away somewhat euphoric, ears ringing and soaking wet from the singing, bobbing along (I don't dance), and darting about getting pictures in a hot sweaty venue.

Bloody brilliant! Just what I needed.
