Firth of Forth Swim

Friends did the Firth of Forth swim today from South to North Queensferry. They had an hour to do the 1.5 mile swim after which time the shipping lanes were reopened. They did it in about 45 minutes which was great going. A perfect day - warm sun, blue sky, no wind. And the view!!

Here is the Albert Pier at North Queensferry where the swimmers landed to great cheers and flasks of tea. You can see the watchful kayakers too making sure that everyone was safe and accounted for. Cameraman had a different angle.

Back home now and getting ready for another friend's 70th birthday lunch. All go today.
