Split Season

I broke my own rule.

It's still summer and, officially, the autumnal equinox is not until September 23rd. I cringe when I hear people refer to this weekend as the last weekend of summer. My husband pointed out that people refer to it as such because it's the last weekend of summer vacation. I just always want to hold on to every last drop of summer I can get. Even when it feels like fall the fact the calendar says it's still summer is somehow comforting to me!?

Well, I needed a new wreath and this seemed most practical for the transition to fall... (And, what makes it extra special is that my sister got it for me!)
