Tale of two cities

Imagine being from a boating family living in this shadow of the fairly new Sokha Hotel in Phnom Penh. You can't get much more incongruous.

This building was finally completed after being in construction for years as an ugly eyesore across the Tonle Sap River from the main city. The land it sits on was probably used not many years ago by farming families and I hate to think of the lack of attention paid to these farming/fishing families' needs as it was being built.
