Scabiosa

This is the only day this month I can get to Carlisle for holiday shopping. In fact I now have every day occupied for six weeks!

Having got the essentials we went to two garden centres for our free September coffees, but I had an ulterior motive. Last time we visited I took some shots of this Scabious. I was so enthralled when I saw it large on my computer that I just had to have it..

So, it had been the only one, and it was still there. A somewhat scabby scabious with only one partial flower left and one bud, but, I wanted it. I took a few shots at the garden centre but then decided it was coming home with me anyway!

I look forward to keeping Scabiosa "Fama White" alive for blipping next year.
