Think it's some kind of wasp.....

..... which showed up nicely against the Sunflower.    A little hoverfly was nearby, and every time it headed towards the wasp, it chased it off.
I spent some time watching the" performance";  nice way to spend a few minutes on another beautiful day.  I tried to add an extra;  but it didn't work.
