Winners!

As we're now living in a village, we decided we ought to take part in the local show.  There were four photography categories and we entered three of them: Yorkshire Landscapes, Animal Antics and My Favourite Food.  

Sharon won the Yorkshire Landscapes section, with Tim as runner up.  Tim won the My Favourite Food category.  We gained some small cups and rosettes for our troubles.

The judge gave comments on a post it note.  For the biscuit image it said "An excellent creative image with good use of light and clarity of detail throughout.  No easy!  Do you go to a camera club?  See leaflets!!"

For the landscape, it said "Excellent composition helped by the crop.  Good exposure and contrast with detail maintained in the rocks.  The cloud formation almost frames the subject."

As a little reward we had a quick wander at the Cow and Calf rocks early evening to try and capture the end of the heather season.  The heather wasn't enticing but I did take the extra - it's either golf up on the rocks or (more likely) a selfie stick!
