Docadiem

By Kathee

Many of our Hummers have left for the winter, but early morning and evening the late-leavers load up on sugar water.

This morning a Broad-tail hit our window. I looked out to see if he was alright. Yikes, he’d fallen beak first between the slats of our deck. No way he could get out of that predicament.

Nmbr-1 to the rescue. He pulled the little Hummer out. Held him in his hand. Offered him sugar water. The itty-bitty bird blinked twice and buzzed away.
My hero.
