'Spotted' .......

.... this thingamy bug of some sort on one of the plants in my wildflower garden. Not idea what it is & it doesn't seem to be in my books. It was about half an inch (or just over 1 cm in new money) in length. It didn't seem to be eating the leaves just crawling around.

Anyone know what it is please????

Update: Thanks to Mr John - it is a ' Coccinella septempunctata Seven Spotted Larvae' or ladybird larvae!
