Turmeric

It was a lovely warm sunny morning when I went out for my swim today.  My friend and I sat in the garden of the cafe for a light lunch and coffee.  As we were leaving the temperature suddenly dropped and from then on it was really cloudy and chilly.  I was completely under dressed.  I was going to travel over to Regents Park to get some pictures but I decided to go home instead.  So here you have a plant that has grown from a Tumeric root that I forgot I had and it had sprouted a shoot like potatoes so I decided to put it into a pot.  I will have to look after it as I think its a tropical plant and may not like our winter.  Watch this space!!
