Of Choughs and Chuffs.

It started dull this morning, and as we set off to South Stack, it got duller and stared to rain. As the day progressed, it got better and better, and by the afternoon, we had glorious sunshine and saw this stunning area to best effect. I didn't want to take any chances with my bird blip yesterday, but we were beating the Choughs off with a stick today - and they were quite confiding too. I may yet have to blip more Choughs - such a magnificent bird, but today I thought I'd go with the lovely landscape - looking towards North Stack.
Two things in particular made me laugh today; one was a text message I got from O2 welcoming me to Ireland ; the other was a visitor at South Stack who was complaining bitterly that all the nesting seabirds had now completed their breeding and left. He seemed to hold the volunteer at the Visitor Centre personally responsible, and was still grumbling to his wife half an hour later. Bit of a connectivity nightmare, as even our 3G signal is acting up this evening. I'm perched in a small upstairs bedroom in our cottage hoping that that it will last long enough to upload this.
