My New Swim Goggles

Today I had granddaughter N. for the day. She wanted to go to the swimming pool we used to go to when she was little. I figured that was a good enough activity for the afternoon, but didn't feel too enthusiastic about it to be honest.

What a surprise to see what an excellent swimmer she is now! And how proud she was to show me how she can dive and do summersaults in the water! And since I no longer have to watch her every minute, I had time to swim myself. Oops, forgot my swim goggles. What the heck, I just bought another pair.

It was great to be swimming again and it wasn't even crowded. I could swim laps without worrying about bumping into people. I hate crowded swimming pools and that is what I had expected today, a grey and chilly afternoon in the school holidays.
