How does this not fall down?

This is the Emporio Armani store in Spinnigfields, Manchester and, for some reason, today I wondered "how does this not fall down?"  I studied engineering at college many, many, many years ago but this structure really scares me and I wouldn't want to have a desk in the pointy end :)
