We've been spotted

This highland cow was blocking the footpath and there was no way me and Misty were going to try and squeeze by,  just look at those horns!  We veered well off the path and then there was another highland  further along the footpath as well. 

After a foggy start it turned out to be a beautiful day.  I had planned to do some painting this afternoon but decided at the last minute to go for a walk up Longlands Fell nr Caldbeck.  Typical though it wasn't sunny there!!  On the way home I had to slam the brakes on as a little black dog was chasing some sheep on the common which ran across the road in front of me.  The dog then ran back to its owners and did they put it on the lead?  No!!  Not long afterwards I did something very stupid myself which I can't believe and was very careless of me.

Here's a photo of Misty at the top of Longlands and this is the first time she's ever stayed on command.

The tour of Britain cycle race is in the area tomorrow enroute to Carlisle and a few yellow bikes and bunting are appearing along the route. Must try and take a photo of the yellow penny farthing :)
