Sign of Life

The sun shone this morning and I managed a walk before starting work.  It was beautiful; the air still and warm, the birds singing.  This oak tree stood proud against the blue sky; its deep green leaves bringing a much appreciated sign of life amongst the brown earth.  It clouded over this afternoon and the light was very dull and depressing by early evening.
