Life with our boys

Fathers Day

We celebrated Fathers Day this year with a trip in the motorhome back over to Eastern Oregon where the weather was gorgeous and warm. It was a great weekend away and felt good to relax especially with how hectic and emotional things have felt lately. On Sunday, Fathers Day Scott opened his gifts in honor of "his" day. The boys and I made this picture project (Pinterest inspired, I love that website) as his gift. It's a picture of them last summer at one of our favorite spots to camp and then on either side of the picture are questions the boys gave me answers to. I laughed when Jack answered a few questions about Scott, Id like to say he was joking but I don't think he was. After describing his dads physical character traits I've decided he's not quite sure who his real father is! Just kidding. Not sure when my blonde haired, 40 year old, blue eyed husband suddenly turned out to be 42, grey haired and brown eyed (according to Jack). It gave us a good laugh. He seemed to like the gift though and it will hang in our newly redone small home office.

I've been absolutely HORRIBLE about posting blips and to be honest with you I have hardly even picked up my camera the past few weeks. Even on this past weekend trip I took very few pictures. I also haven't had much time to view any of your pics which really bothers me. Seems theres not enough time in the day. With the kids being out of school it seems we are on the go or I'm cleaning up non stop. Then, there has been another matter that has consumed much of my thoughts. My sister who has been cancer free for 11 years was just diagnosed with lung cancer. It's been devastating to us all. I guess we are all going through the emotions of it and trying to digest it all. Anger, fear, sadness, confusion, denial.... you name it and it's what I've/we've been feeling. There are still so many unknowns with it which make it even worse. I wish we had more answers but the important thing for now is to keep her positive and fighting. So needless to say it's been a rough couple weeks since finding out. [/

I hope to catch up on all your blips soon. I'm sure they are lovely as always :)
