Euro tunnel to France

We left for France this morning going through the tunnel in the car. We arrived within 35 minutes and set off down through the Champagne area which looked lovely with it's orderly lines of grapes, each vineyard advertising which famous Champagne house it belonged to.
We realised we were in the middle of the vendange when we saw all the caravans full of people going off to pick grapes (would rather have liked to join them).
Stayed the night in a little hotel with a grand reputation for its food - and very good it was too washed down with a fine glass of sancerre!
