Batty

As I do a lot of cycling, I meet a lot of swished wildlife, including recently an adder, a dragonfly, and a slow worm, but this is my first bat! I have only come across one hedgehog this year, which is doubly sad. It is beautiful watching the bats at dusk, flitting effortlessly about the garden, sensed as much as seen. Fascinating to meet one close up like this.
