......a good day.............

The Boss' birthday..after his flying visit her brother set off south to visit their Dad.

I went shopping for the Boss' birthday demands...........one dozen mixed Krispy Kreme donuts...........one bag of Skittles........one bag of Starburst......one bag of Fruit Pastilles...........and a "nice card".

D and V....back from their trip to Japan..phoned.....they flew out the day of the Boss' op.but I didn't tell them .......no point in spoiling their holiday.......so today I told them the full tale...to say they were shocked is an understatement.

They came with me to the hospital.....the Boss had news for us......this morning she stood unaided........only for a few seconds.....but it's a huge improvement on two weeks ago...we spent an hour or so talking and laughing......and then it was time for me to leave.......the Boss is insisting I do as many "normal" things as possible...and tonight was the fishing kids BBQ.

The S & H and YH, Charlie and Hannah all turned up..........Charlie was awarded a medal for taking part.....Hannah got one for..........well...........just for being Hannah I guess.

All in all the best day we've had in about a month.
