Harlow Hill Water Tower
A very dull day today wasn't particularly conducive to stunning photography.
Walking past the water tower I was reminded how industrial structures of the past were built with pride and attention to their appearance. Nowadays such structures are built on a purely functional basis with little regards to their aesthetic qualities.
This water tower, built in 1902 is actually a grade II listed building. At around 700 feet above sea level, it is almost the highest building in Harrogate, being slightly smaller than its neighbouring building, the Harlow Hill observatory tower.
