The Red Road Flats

I was speaking at All Saints Secondary in Glasgow this morning as part of the "Speakers for schools" project.

As I drove along Royston Road I suddenly saw these looming through the morning mist - the Red Road Flats .

I tried to find a vantage point which would have allowed me to get the whole dystopian vision including the piles of rubble from the two blocks that have already been demolished and the vehicles moving about at the base of the remaining structures preparing them for demolition,

But in the end I had to settle for this grey atmospheric picture , as the mist came and went , which will also be one of the last as all the blocks are due to come down next month.
