Lodi Arch

The arch at the entrance to Lodi, California, where we found ourselves this Labor Day morning, is one of the few remaining Mission Revival ceremonial structures in California. Originally built in 1907 of the first Tokay Carnival, which still takes place today as the the Lodi Grape Festival (which unfortunately occurs next Saturday and Sunday rather than this long holiday weekend when we might attend). I have photos of the arch from last night, but this full sunlight shot from this morning better shows the town's name and state's golden bear symbol.
