A Tunisian Poncho Experiment

I visualized two rectangles, joined with a circular neckline and base in crocheted cable. I have a 400g ball of this cheap tweed so if it doesn't do all I want I may add the neckline and base in black. I plan to do a few rows every day so I will get there eventually. This is  only my second Tunisian project.  I have a few other projects intending to finish this week so I better get a wiggle on!
