Our public libraries...
... are under threat of closure, despite still being popular but not necessarily for borrowing books. The free availability of daily newspapers has long been one popular reason for visiting the library, now combined with free use of wi-fi.
I am pleased to say I have just finished my editing job on the photographs from our Australia holiday. Despite deleting a considerable number of shots, I still have just over 2500 from which to select for our photobooks. I take too many photographs.
At least now I should have more time to comment on blips, which I have been neglecting recently.
This morning I was working on the last full day of the holiday, in Cairns, and came across a picture I originally intended to blip. I watched a woman struggle with her tray in hand to get up onto a bar stool to enjoy her Big Mac. I had to take the picture because her hat seemed incongruous in that location. Sometimes, with street photography, you get more than you bargained for. I hadn't noticed the vision sitting behind her until today.
I've added the shot as an extra - not for the squeamish or anyone eating!
