Peebles Coat of Arms
The Coat of Arms for The Royal Burgh of Peebles.
The shield shows three salmon. One swimming upstream on The River Tweed, two returning downstream.
The motto at the top reads "Contra Nando Incrementum", which roughly translates as 'Against The Stream They Multiply'
This carving features on The Old Parish Church, and as such also features St Andrews Cross.
