My aunt is in town and it was great to take the afternoon off and wander in the Glasgow sunshine with my mother and her.

A highlight was lunch at West, which is based in the Templeton carpet factory building where their mother (my grandmother) once worked.

You can still see the supports for the heavy machinery. And - since it is now a microbrewery - you can now also sample some local beer.
