Peaceful

If we get out early enough, it's still cool enough to take the dogs for a walk.
The reflections on the surface of the lake were disturbed only by the layers of dust which accumulated near the shore. Even the birds were quiet in the cool before the heat of the day kicked in.

Knitting a winter cardigan seems an odd occupation as the temperature tops 100º, but it is cool in the house. The dogs and OilMan are slumbering and snoring, and I am grateful for air conditioning.

Nothing is stirring outside, but we are expecting our first delivery from Blue Apron, a company which assembles and measures out the ingredients for complete meals, includes  a recipe and ships everything to the door. Jim signed us up for a free week trial of three meals for two. They have been doing two meals a week for several weeks and even the boys like the choices. It would certainly cut down on the trips to Oliver's.

It will begin to cool off as the sun goes down so that we can open the windows and turn off the AC before we go to bed.
