Now we are two!
These are the last two Swallows left in the stable from the two broods raised this year, five in the first brood and four in the second. The adult male did not come back on Sunday evening, and two of the young were missing too presumably all having decided to take advantage of the favourable northerly winds to help their migration. On
Monday the adult female had gone leaving two youngsters to cope alone. So this is the third night on their own. I do hope they stay together until the final departure!, they do look very young and vulnerable!
