At the top of the stairs

Another of the old Edinburgh police boxes. It was in the news this week that one on the Royal Mile had been sold for over £100,000. They put a number of them up for sale earlier in the year, and there apparently were almost 400 bids for the 22 boxes that were available in this batch. Others have been sold previously and several now have a different purpose - like this one, and this one. This box, near Meadowbank is not one of the ones for sale this time, although it looks like it could do with a bit of renovation. As I was taking the pictures met one of the Lothians list MSPs on her way home and had a brief chat with her about the sale of the police boxes.
