Cereal threshing area, Hora

Our last full day in Greece and we decided to visit the very interesting museum in Pattitiri and then the old town again Hora. The museum had a collection of old camera equipment, various items of old village life and a large collection of various war and pirate items. It also has a wonderful view over the harbour.

The village life section mentioned that the old town had large stone threshing circles where a donkey would move the stone around separating the grain. It is located high up in a windy area which aids separating the chaff from the grain.
