Sorting out shore birds

Weather outside not so good  so I spent the morning today classifying gulls and waders - not such an easy task as there are so many variables (juvenile, adult, m/f, breeding plumages, etc.). But it's fun and keeps me off the cold and snowy streets. This pic was from La Punta, Callao (Peru).
