Why I don't like Swindon

It's full of pavements that just stop at dead ends and go nowhere. From my hotel there is a little cluster of restaurants across the road literally 50 yards away. But it is physically impossible to walk to them. Swindon seems to be a place that designed to be both horrible to drive through and horrible/ impossible to walk anywhere.
