Runes
Over Ilkley Moor are about 400 bronze age carved rocks. So it's not unusual to stumble over one you've not seen before, both literally and figuratively.
Oddly though I've run past this, just next to the runners trod, many dozens of times and not noticed it(and its about 4x2 feet so not small). There is an identical one 200yards away on the other side of the cutting, I think if you bisect them north south (ish) it will point to the stone circle half a mile away. No one has a clue really regarding their significance or meaning.
Catching them in the morning and evening light they always look impressive, seeing them in flat or overhead light sometimes you can hardly see the carvings.
