Thatch

We all took our time about getting up; J has the best excuse as he is still recuperating, although doing extremely well. He's had a combined pacemaker and defibrillator fitted in his chest - looks like an iPhone under the skin. That should do the trick!

It was open gardens day over in Sibford Gower, so L and I went for a stroll round. We saw one arboretum and three beautiful gardens, although they were almost too tidy for my taste. There were some gorgeous individual plants and flowers; lots of roses just coming into bloom, some with exquisite fragrance. There was one apricot coloured rose that smelled faintly of.....apricot!

The houses are beautiful as well as the gardens - this was just a random selection of thatched roofs that I spotted. (The location is approximate)
