Forrestburn Reservoir

This is Forrestburn Reservoir, and according to the Salsburgh Heritage Group, it is a reservoir that is no longer in use. I've seen it quite often as I travel along the M8, and today decided to take a little detour to let me have a proper look.

If you look closely behind the trees you will see two huge radio masts, these are part of the small forest of such masts at Kirk O' Shotts, a popular site for major transmitters since an antenna sited there can cover both Edinburgh and Glasgow (and beyond)
