The second half of life..

Last minute blip!

Firstly, many thanks to all you blippers who looked at and commented on yesterday's blip. Brian was chuffed to bits!

Another funny peculiar day today, but at least I did some of the things I didn't yesterday.

Spent the morning on the phone then the afternoon in the kitchen. I now have a yummy bacon and egg pie for tea and a lovley clean kitchen :) Actually, a lot of the rest of the house got a good clean and tidy too.

I also found myself getting very drawn into the drama of the FIFA Under 17 Womens World Cup Football quarter finals. (How many folks in England know that the English girls were even over here in NZ playing?!?!) Anyway, in a fantastic 'come-from-behind-twice' match they finally beat the favourites Japan 5-4 on penalties. A real nail biter! Now they head into the semis next week to play North Korea.

One of the really lovely thing about watching these young women playing (besides their amazing skills!) is the almost complete lack of showmanship, foul play, arguing with the ref or milking fouls from dubious situations. How fresh and entertaining it's been :)

Anyway, by the time I'd finished tootying around with the domestics I realised very late in the day that I hadn't even got the camera out, let alone taken any worthwhile pics! Thank goodness for the garden rose!!
