No Shortage of Conversation
... when you haven't seen someone for the best part of 40 years!
Yesterday, Mr PP and I met up with someone I worked with long ago, and her husband. We only worked together for a few months, and were friends for about three years before she left the midlands where we then lived. Since then our contact has only been through Christmas cards and letters. We have raised families, moved around the country, changed jobs and, thanks in part to Facebook, finally hooked up again.
Our friends are holidaying in Brixham and realised how close we lived and proposed the meeting. It's amazing how we just clicked back and carried on as if no time at all had passed. Had a lovely day, showing them around Dartmouth and having a fabulous lunch at the Rockfish restaurant. (Strongly recommended!) And then ice-creams later at the little ice-cream parlour behind the front shops, whose name I can never remember, but also highly recommended!
Took this photo in the Coronation Gardens in Dartmouth with its decorative floral sailing ship on a Union Flag sea. (It's only when I looked at the photo that I realised how the leaves have begun to fall. Autumn is upon us!)
