I am loving my new pastoral role (with some teaching) even if I haven't worked out how to manage my time properly. I love meeting the students individually and be able to talk to them properly. I used to do this sort of role before I went into teaching and I loved it then too. You have a completely different relationship with the kids.

I also love the head space I have from not teaching. I can not express the change in that and how much more mental energy I have. I really don't miss full days in the classroom.
