Another graduate novel published! @cath_simpson13

It's been induction week for our seventh cohort on the MA Creative Writing programme at Edinburgh Napier University, where I teach part-time. We invite graduates from past years along to share the wisdom of their experiences with the new arrives and, as usual, they did us all proud.

It was a particular delight to welcome back Catherine Simpson, whose Major Project Truestory is being published next week - http://sandstonepress.com/books/truestory - she brought along an advance copy for us, so I'll get to read the ending.

That's the second time this year a graduate of our programme has had their Major Project published as a novel, following on from Wasp by Ian Garbutt. Several more graduates have been signed by agents, so there should be further successes soon...
