Pedometer
Today was my first day trying out my new pedometer, given to me as part of a 40-day challenge in the office, to "virtually walk up Mount Everest" which in real life translates as taking 10,000 steps a day.
The challenge officially starts tomorrow so today was a warmup - I was curious to see how much I walk in an average day. Well, today wasn't an average day: I decided to walk from Richmond to Twickenham after work to join a mate in the pub to watch the football; should have been 2 miles, but I set off down the wrong side of the river and by the time I'd found a bridge to cross to the right side I'd walked a mile further than I should have done, so with a mile back in the other direction that made 4 blooming miles in total... (I got the bus back; I'd had enough walking)
My pedometer now reads 20,300 steps. Shame it doesn't count til tomorrow.
