Ever decreasing circles

Spent the morning with a friend who's depression and anxiety is now so bad that she has panic attacks a few times a day and she's crying herself to sleep. It's coming up for the 2 year anniversary of her husbands death and life seems to be treating her badly at the moment. As much as we talk and advice her, medical intervention was needed adapt and this afternoon she started her first course of antidepressants. She couldn't see any point to living as she sees no future for herself. The tablets may take a while before they start working so we're going to have to keep an eye on her. I'm so glad she went to the doctors and didn't just go home and think that she could carry on coping with the way she is. She's also going to phone about bereavement councelling too. She's lost so much weight and her spark has been hidden under her big black dog. She has 3 grown children and we're not even sure that's she's told them how she's been feeling, I'm just glad that she can talk to us.
