Kawau Island

Like last weekend, I woke just after 6 am and came out to see the sky with all the colours of dawn. Changed and ran to the Snells Beach waterfront, where I was able to get this photo of the sun rising above Kawau Island.

Later this morning S and I walked around the gardens and I took a photo of the flower beds just below the level of the main deck. I am hoping to put that up as an extra.

The second extra is a photo of a young piwakawaka (fantail) which accompanied us when we were talking later the afternoon to Victoria, who helps with the heavy gardening. (Due to uploading difficulties, this is the only extra currently)
