Lifting Gear

After overnight rain, the morning has started off bright and sunny. We decided to walk through the docks area again on our way to visit the ruined Abbey and Cathedral. This rather fine piece of machinery is one of the old lifting cranes that would have been used to lift goods onto the boats ready to be carried off to Bristol and beyond. Rain is forecast for after lunch, so I'm glad we're out and about early.
